Statistics: Jeff Foxworthy Invested $75k on Shark Tank

Jeff Foxworthy had been making people laugh for years before he came to Shark Tank. Stand-up was a big part of it, but that wasn’t all he was doing. He had television shows and books too. Then there was the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which became another big part of his career. But Jeff had also sold merchandise and licensed products around his comedy. So, there was a business side to what he had been doing for years before he joined the other Shark Tank investors.

Jeff was only in two Shark Tank episodes during Season 2. But he still managed to make two deals. Hydromax was made for football players. A player could get a drink without having to leave the field every time. HillBilly Brand was nothing like that. Mike Abbaticchio and Shon Lees were selling clothing around a country and outdoor lifestyle.

HillBilly Brand was closer to something Jeff already knew. He had spent years making comedy around Southern life. And that had become more than stand-up. There were books, television and merchandise too. Jeff joined Daymond John and Robert Herjavec for the HillBilly Brand deal. With Hydromax, he was the only Shark in the deal.

Those were the only two deals Jeff made on Shark Tank. Hydromax put $50,000 on his side, while we count another $25,000 for Jeff from the three-Shark HillBilly Brand agreement. That brings his accepted Shark Tank amount to $75,000.

How Much Did Jeff Foxworthy Invest on Shark Tank?

HillBilly Brand was Jeff’s first deal. Mike Abbaticchio and Shon Lees came in asking for $50,000 for 25% of the business. They did get Jeff interested, but the deal they accepted was quite different from what they had asked for. Jeff, Daymond John and Robert Herjavec offered $75,000 for the whole company, with Mike and Shon keeping a 7% royalty on future licensing deals.

Three Sharks were now part of that $75,000. We don’t have anything showing that one of them was putting in more money than the others. We count Jeff at $25,000 from the HillBilly Brand deal. There were three Sharks putting up the $75,000, and there isn’t a different split showing how much each one would pay. So, Jeff gets one-third of it in our count.

Hydromax gave Jeff another $50,000. Chris Spencer had asked for $50,000 for 25%, but Jeff wanted 50% of the company for that money. Chris accepted. And Jeff did this deal by himself, which puts the whole $50,000 on his side.

That was it for Jeff on Shark Tank. HillBilly Brand gives him $25,000 and Hydromax gives him $50,000. Together, the two accepted deals put Jeff at $75,000.

Jeff Foxworthy Agreed to $25,000 in HillBilly Brand

Mike Abbaticchio had come up with the HillBilly Brand logo back in 2004. Then he and Shon Lees started putting it on hats and T-shirts. They took some of those products to a rodeo, and everything they brought with them sold. There was something there, so they kept going with the business.

Mike and Shon wanted $50,000 for 25% of HillBilly Brand. Jeff knew there could be more to a name than the shirts and hats it was already on. He had sold merchandise around his own comedy for years. And he could see HillBilly Brand doing more of that through licensing.

The deal ended up going much further than the founders’ original ask. Jeff joined Daymond John and Robert Herjavec, and the three offered $75,000 for 100% of the company. Mike and Shon would still get a 7% royalty from future licensing deals. They accepted the offer.

What Happened to the HillBilly Brand Deal?

Mike and Shon kept working on the deal after Shark Tank. And it wasn’t just for a few weeks. HillBilly Brand says they spent several months negotiating with Jeff, Daymond and Robert. They never got the final terms worked out, so Mike and Shon decided not to do the deal.

Mike and Shon still had HillBilly Brand when the talks were over. Jeff, Daymond and Robert never became the owners, and Jeff never had that $25,000 investment in the company. But HillBilly Brand had still gotten its time on Shark Tank.

And the business kept going. HillBilly Brand says the show helped it get into new markets. More products came along too. It is still around in 2026 too. What started with the clothing Mike and Shon brought into the Tank became a bigger line of HillBilly Brand products.

Jeff Foxworthy Agreed to $50,000 for Hydromax

Chris Spencer came up with Hydromax to make getting water easier for football players. The system attached to the player’s shoulder pads. Then a tube let the player drink from it without having to leave the field. It could carry up to 16 ounces of liquid. Chris had already gotten the business to around $100,000 in sales before coming to Shark Tank.

Chris wasn’t spending all of his time on Hydromax anymore. He had gotten married and had children, and he needed another job to bring in a steady income. Some of the Sharks didn’t like that. They knew Hydromax still needed someone there to keep the business moving.

Chris wanted $50,000 for 25% of Hydromax. Jeff was interested, but not for 25%. Jeff wanted a much bigger piece of Hydromax for his money. He offered $50,000 for 50%, and Chris said yes. This one was Jeff’s deal alone.

Did Jeff Actually Invest the $50,000 in Hydromax?

Chris and Jeff had agreed to the $50,000 for 50% deal in the Tank. But what happened after the show is a little different. The stronger follow-up reports say the Hydromax deal did not close. So, we know Jeff agreed to put up the $50,000, but we don’t have evidence that the money actually went into Hydromax under that deal.

There is some older information that talks about Jeff as an investor in Hydromax. But it doesn’t show that the deal he made with Chris actually went through. So, the $50,000 stays as the deal Jeff agreed to in the Tank. We can’t say it was $50,000 he actually put into Hydromax.

Hydromax was still around after Shark Tank. The product made its way into professional, college and youth football, and Chris found other money for the business too. It didn’t last though. Hydromax eventually disappeared, and Chris went on to other work.

Did Jeff Foxworthy Actually Invest $75,000?

The $75,000 number does not mean Jeff sent $75,000 to these two businesses. HillBilly Brand never got to the final deal with Jeff, Daymond and Robert. Hydromax has the same problem for Jeff’s other $50,000. The follow-up information says that deal did not close either.

So, Jeff never became an owner of HillBilly Brand from the deal. And he didn’t end up with the 50% of Hydromax he had agreed to either. He made two deals on Shark Tank, but neither one became an investment we know he actually made. The $75,000 is what we count from the deals he agreed to in the Tank. It includes his $50,000 Hydromax deal and the $25,000 we count for him from HillBilly Brand. But it is not money we know left Jeff’s pocket and went into those companies.

How Successful Was Jeff Foxworthy on Shark Tank?

HillBilly Brand is still in business in 2026. Hydromax went the other way and eventually disappeared. It would be different if Jeff had actually ended up with a piece of either business. But he didn’t. Both deals fell apart after Shark Tank.

The HillBilly Brand deal didn’t happen, so Mike and Shon kept the company. They continued with the business without Jeff, Daymond and Robert. So, Jeff didn’t have a piece of the company when it continued to grow.

And Hydromax closing didn’t cost Jeff the $50,000 he had agreed to either. His deal with Chris never made it that far. There really isn’t an investment return to figure out for Jeff from either business.

Where Is Jeff Foxworthy Now?

Jeff has not stopped doing stand-up. He still had live performances on his schedule in 2026, including a December show in Las Vegas with Larry the Cable Guy. That is more than 40 years after he won the comedy competition that helped get his career started. He is still getting up in front of an audience.

There was a new television project in 2026 too. Jeff released The Joke’s On Me, where part of the idea was showing how he works on his comedy material. He said it might be his last stand-up special made for television. But he also made it clear that he wasn’t retiring from stand-up.

Jeff has done plenty of other things along the way, from books and television to games and Foxworthy Outdoors. Shark Tank only took up two episodes of all of that. He came into the Tank during Season 2, made his two deals, and never returned as a regular Shark.

Final Words

Jeff came into Shark Tank for two episodes and found something he wanted in both of them. HillBilly Brand got him into a deal with Daymond and Robert, while Hydromax was one he wanted for himself. He agreed to $50,000 for Hydromax. We count another $25,000 for him from HillBilly Brand.

Jeff didn’t end up with a piece of either company. Mike and Shon kept HillBilly Brand when their deal with the Sharks didn’t work out. And HillBilly Brand is still in business in 2026. Hydromax eventually disappeared, but Jeff’s deal with Chris had not closed either.

So, Jeff’s time in the Tank left him with two accepted deals and $75,000 on his side of them. It just didn’t leave him with either of the investments he had agreed to make.
