Shark Tank has had many more investors than the familiar faces who appear in episode after episode. Some Sharks have spent years in the Tank, while other investors came in for only a few pitches. This directory brings their Shark Tank records together in one place.

Who Are the Shark Tank Investors?
There have been quite a few Sharks since the show started. Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary and Robert Herjavec were some of the Sharks there from the start. Mark Cuban joined the show later, and Lori Greiner eventually became a regular Shark too. And they were still only some of the investors who ended up sitting in the Tank.
A lot of other investors have come in for an episode or a few episodes of their own. Sara Blakely has done it. So have Richard Branson, Kendra Scott and Emma Grede. And then there is Jamie Siminoff. He first stood in front of the Sharks and pitched Ring, and years later he came back and sat in one of their chairs as a guest Shark.
Guest Sharks Have Become a Big Part of the Show
A guest Shark might only be there for an episode or two. Sometimes that is enough time to make a deal. Then there are guest Sharks who keep coming back, and after a while they can end up with quite a few companies from the Tank.
Daniel Lubetzky was one of the guest Sharks who kept coming back. He appeared across several seasons before eventually getting a regular seat in the Tank. And by the end of Season 17, his accepted deals had added up to about $6.49 million.
A Shark Tank Deal Is Not Always the Final Investment
There is another thing to remember when looking at how much a Shark invested. The deal we watch on television still has to make it through everything that happens after filming. The Shark and entrepreneur go through the business again. And sometimes the money never goes in.
Other deals still happen, but not exactly the way we saw them happen in the Tank. The amount can change, or the Shark and entrepreneur can end up with different terms. So, we know how much the Shark agreed to invest when the entrepreneur said yes. Saying that is how much the Shark actually invested is a different thing.

Based on SharkTankInsights’ Season 1 through Season 17 dataset, Mark Cuban has the largest attributed accepted on-air amount at approximately $67.81 million. This measures accepted television commitments rather than claiming every deal ultimately closed.
The Sharks invest their own money when a deal moves forward. However, accepting an offer during filming does not automatically mean the investment is completed. The business and investor still go through due diligence after the show.
No. Some accepted deals close, some continue under revised terms, and others fall apart after filming. This is why an on-air commitment and a confirmed completed investment should not be treated as the same thing.
A guest Shark is an investor who joins the panel for selected episodes rather than serving as one of the regular Sharks. Guest Sharks can make solo offers or invest alongside other Sharks just like the regular panel members.
