Chilling a drink and ensuring that it remains cold till the last sip seems like an impossible task. Especially trying to keep it at cellar temperature. The wine accessories already available in the market do not serve the purpose in a classy fashion; concealing the drink in a chunky container or even ice boxes doesn’t serve the purpose.
To change this, Lisa Randel came up with the perfect, most elegant solution: the VoChill chillers. These chillers hold your drink and raise the temperature of the wine from room temperature to cellar temperature in under 10 minutes. The stemmed version allows you to simply place your wine glass in the holder, and it will remain cold till the last sip.
The couple came to Shark Tank asking for $300,000 for 5% equity in their company, VoChill. Did the entrepreneur get a deal on Shark Tank? Check out our VoChill update to find out!
VoChill Net Worth Shark Tank Update 2025
Lisa and Randel asked for a $300k investment in exchange for 5% equity in their company VoChill. This meant they valued their company at $6 million. They did not make a deal with any of the sharks. After the show aired, VoChill saw a big increase in website traffic, sales, and social media exposure. With an estimated 10% yearly growth rate (typical business growth), the current net worth of VoChill in 2025 is about $2.42 million.
Not getting a deal in Shark Tank didn’t diminish the spirit of the couple, and they kept pursuing their passion for building the business to be successful. The product even got featured in Oprah’s Favorite Things list. The company also focused on a lot of PR campaigns and got featured on some of the major shows. They have also focused their energies on B2B marketing and selling to the wineries.
This way, consumers and potential consumers are able to see and get a feel of the product before buying it. Also, as mentioned in the shows, the wine drinkers loved the product, which led to wineries ordering stock to sell on-site, which became a huge income stream for the company.
No, VoChill was unable to secure a deal on Shark Tank. Sadly, not all the sharks were too keen or excited by the product. The only shark that showed some serious interest was Kevin because he understands the market. He made an offer of $300,000 for 10% equity and a $2 royalty until he was paid back $1 million.
All of the sharks were out except for Kevin, and since he asked for royalties, Lisa and Randel were stuck in a tricky situation. Lisa told him that they could not let go of the royalties because they wanted to keep the money in the business.
Lisa and Randel decided to stand their ground and not give away the royalties as they were more focused on reinvesting in the business. Hence, they walked out without a deal. Keep reading our VoChill update to see what happens next!

VoChill Shark Tank pitch
Randel and Lisa came to the shark tank seeking $300,000 for 5% equity in their company VoChill. They started off by stating that no one likes hot wine, and the chilling accessories available in the market are not helpful at all. This is why they created VoChill. “The world’s first and only wine chiller,” said Lisa. It keeps your wine cool, crisp, and refreshing without compromising the flavor of the wine or the wine experience.
The innovative design allows you to remove the chill cradle, put it in the refrigerator, and take it out whenever you want to drink some wine. The cradle holds the wine glass safely, and there is no slippage. It keeps your wine perfectly chilled during sips, and you can enjoy it from the first sip to the last.
It works wonderfully with red wine and brings any red wine to the cellar temperature in just 10 minutes to bring out the wine’s best characteristics. They served Mark a martini to sample the product, and that’s because customers frequently ask if the product works well with martinis and other drinks, so they wanted to demonstrate that, yes, it does.
Barbara asked them about the cost of production. Lisa told her that the stemmed version sells for $49.95, and the stemless version sells for $44.95, and it costs them $9.21 to make the stemmed version and $8.62 to make the stemless version.
Barbara further asked if they were selling it online. Lisa told them that it was being sold on the VoChill company website. Gwyneth asked if you put it in the freezer and how they are measuring the temperature, because she likes her white wine super ice cold and the red wine not as much. Lisa told her that white wine is designed to preserve the chill. The red wine will bring a room temperature wine to cellar temperature or down to 65 degrees in about 10 minutes.
Kevin asked, based on their $6 million evaluation, how much they were selling. Lisa told them that in the previous year, they had $800,000 worth of sales. Also, they have been in business for just 2 years, and in the first year, they only had one SKU, the stemmed version, with only three color variants.
Mark asked where they were being sold. Lisa told him about Amazon and the VoChill website. Barbara asked what the sales were in the current year. Lisa told her $1.8 million. Kevin asked if they were making any money from the $1.8 million after customer acquisition. Lisa told them that they were not profitable yet.
When asked why by Lori and Kevin, Lisa told them that their CPA (cost per acquisition) was $57. Lisa told them that their cash loss the previous year was $470,000. Gwyneth wanted to know about the feedback from the wine drinkers and the wine community. The duo told them that the response from the customers and the community was very good.
Kevin said not everyone likes to drink cold wine. Kevin also disagreed with the evaluation of $6 million and told them plainly that it was not worth that much. Mark just clearly told them that this was not his field, and he bowed out. Barbara saw the functionality of the product, but she found the device to be too ugly looking, and that’s why she didn’t make an offer.
Gwyneth was unsure about the usage of it and said that just like all the other wine accessories, people would not use this either. Hence, she didn’t make an offer. Lori also thought that she would be more focused on changing the design elements, and that’s why, according to her, she wasn’t the right fit for the business. Hence, she didn’t make an offer either.
What went wrong for VoChill in Shark Tank?
Some of the sharks did not like the product, while others thought it was just another wine accessory that would end up being unused. Barbara and Lori clearly stated that they didn’t like the product, and Lori even said that she would spend most of her energy on figuring out how to change its appearance. Mark simply was not interested in this category; hence, he was not interested in investing at all.
Gwyneth stated from the consumer’s point of view that even though it’s enticing to buy such accessories to enhance the wine experience, people end up not using them at the end of the day. Along with that, the price of the product was very high, and the evaluation was incorrect. Kevin quickly pointed out that the business was not worth $6 million at all. Hence, they had to walk out empty-handed from the shark tank.
Product Availability
VoChill chillers are being sold on the company website, Vochill. It is also being sold on Amazon, Oprah Daily Shop, Prevention Shop, Haven Well Within, Faire, Macy’s, and many others. They are now heavily focused on B2B and getting their products into different wineries. This model may be perfect for them.
They may benefit from having the potential customers understand the value and functionality of the product before purchasing it. Along with that, if the product is readily available at the wineries, it becomes even easier to buy it right there and then for their homes. Otherwise known as impulse buying,
Conclusion
Lisa and husband Randel came to the shark tank with an innovative solution to an age-old problem. How do you keep your wine chilled till the last sip? Their invention is unique and stylish and keeps your drinks cold till the last sip. Having said that, their financials and the design aspect of the product didn’t impress the sharks, and they found the product to be a bit gimmicky.
Not only that, some of the sharks said they would be more focused on changing the design or hiding the product away rather than using it. Hence, most of the sharks decided not to invest. However, Kevin was interested in investing and made an offer. His offer, however, included a royalty, and the couple was not interested in giving away royalties. That’s why the deal didn’t go through, and the couple walked out without a deal.
