Scotty shared with the sharks that his lifelong dream was to build electronics and that prompted Lori to ask if he had gone to school to learn the electronics and engineering aspect. He told them that he went to school for engineering and dropped out, after which he got a job as an e-commerce manager at a large electronic recycler.

He was able to grow their e-commerce department from nothing to $250,000 in sales. The business was more about consumer electronics and laptops.

During COVID, he was let go by the company. So when he appeared in the shark tank, he was working as a front desk clerk at a car wash shop.
