Founders & their Backstory

Bianca lives in southern California. California is notorious for having fire accidents each year. She stated that the Fire Fighter 1 idea was his father. One day he wonders why don’t we use the pool water to extinguish the fire. There are other engines but they’re quite expensive. His father has passed away more than 5 years ago. Bianca modified his idea to a business model. 

Initial Pitch

Bianca introduced herself as the co-founder of Fire Fighter 1. She proposed $150,000 with 15% equity. She explained the trauma of a fire accident on your property. As a property owner, you don’t have many options except evacuating or trying to extinguish the fire with a water hose. She also shared her father’s experience as an on-field reporter. This triggered an idea to use pool water and hence, FireFighter 1 came into being.

FireFighter 1 is the first ever affordable resource that can be a lifesaver for pool owners. This emergency machine can pump 25,000 gallons of water from your pool within seconds. Bianca then presented a demo to show how to use a FireFighter 1.

She explained as she showed to attach the FireFighter 1 hose to your pool pump. Grab the hose, turn on the pump, and shower 80 gallons of water per minute at a height of 40 feet. With this rate of water speed, you can cool a 35-feel front of your property in 7 minutes. This impressed the Sharks. She concludes the pitch by asking Sharks to help her help more FireFighter 1.

Kevin inquired about what happens if the population is instructed to evacuate their property in case of wildfire. Bianca replied that in such cases you can wet damp the property before the fire reaches out. Or you can use this hose to cool down the fire by messing barbeque. Kevin questioned if the package was only the hose. Bianca replied that the package contained the adapter and hose. 

Bianca further explained that the package is suitable to use with any standard-type pump. But the adapter isn’t standard. Daymond presented a scenario-based query. He inquired that the rising ambushes from the burning property were more contagious. 

Bianca explained that the flown-away ambush particles can fall into other things and catch fire as they are one mile away. Lori then inquired about the background and the origin of the business idea. After the backstory, Lori inquired if the firemen could use this product to cool down the fire if they got short on water resources. Bianca replied with a yes and they can use it effectively. 

Daymond stated that to his surprise Kevin hadn’t asked the most basic question. He wanted to know about eh sales. Bianca replied that they started in February 2022. The sales number is $22,000 and sold 49 units only. Daymond further inquired about the sources of sales. Bianca mentioned that she has partnered with pool companies as they’re already in contact with pool owners.

Daniel was the first Sahrk to step out as he thought the idea of helping others was great. But the scope for profit is quite narrow. So he stepped out. Kevin was next to back out. As he thinks the business is not profitable. Daymond backed out as he did not think he would be helpful in this field. Lori mentioned that this business needs recognition and awareness so he asked Mark to step in. 

Mark inquired if she was patient. Bianca replied with a yes. Mark continued that this business needs patience. The benefits of this business need recognition and it will take time to spread throughout California. Lor and Mark then placed their offer. They offered $150,000 for 25% equity. Bianca counter-offered as $150,000 for 20% equity. But she was refused by both Sharks instantly.  Bianca agreed then and cheerfully left the stage.

The pitch was pretty decent but the sales were quite low. The Sharks loved the idea of helping people in emergencies. But most of the Sharks quit as they don’t much about the field or they don’t predict much profit in the product. But Lor and Mark offered their deal of $150,000 of 25% equity to which Bianca agreed.
