CharCharms Net Worth Shark Tank Update 2025

Water bottles have become an essential part of our daily lives. Whether heading to the gym, school, work or just running errands, people carry their bottles everywhere. But despite being so popular, these bottles often lack personality. They are mostly plain, dull, and identical to everyone else’s. There are plenty of stylish water bottles on the market, but few options allow users to truly personalize them. They are plain and don’t show who we are. That’s where CharCharms comes in.

Charlotte Trecartin from Chicago saw this problem. She thought, “Why can’t water bottles have accessories?” So, she created CharCharms. This company makes fun and colorful add-ons for any water bottle. They have stick-on hooks, charms, bottle boots to protect the bottom, straw toppers to keep out dirt, and small pouches for essentials.

You can mix and match these to dress up your bottle for any occasion. Charlotte believes her water bottle is like a best friend. She wants everyone to feel the same.

Charlotte Trecartin entered the shark tank seeking $300,000 in investment in exchange for 10% equity in her company. Did the entrepreneur get a deal on Shark Tank? Check out our CharCharms update to find out!

CharCharms shark tank pitch

Charlotte Trecartin was a student at the University of Illinois during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone was sent home, and she had more free time. One day, she looked at her water bottle and thought about adding accessories to it.

This idea led her to create prototypes of charms and other add-ons. She noticed that while people loved their water bottles, there weren’t many ways to personalize them. Charlotte wanted to change that. She faced challenges like figuring out how to produce her products and how to market them. But she was determined to make her idea a reality.

Charlotte entered the Shark Tank with confidence. She introduced herself and her company, CharCharms. She explained how people take their water bottles everywhere but don’t have ways to personalize them. Charlotte showcased her products: stick-on hooks, charms, bottle boots, straw toppers, and small pouches.

She emphasized that these accessories work on any water bottle, regardless of its shape, size, or color. Charlotte also highlighted that her products are dishwasher-safe and allow users to mix and match to suit any occasion. She asked the Sharks for $300,000 in exchange for 10% equity in her company. The Sharks had several questions for Charlotte:

Kevin O’Leary says there’s a lot of stuff like this on the market. How is CharCharms different? Charlotte responded that we had created the first-ever stick-on water bottle charms that worked on any bottle. You might see keychains, but nothing like our stick-on charms.

Lori Greiner asked me to tell you about the market and why you did this. Charlotte disclosed during COVID, as a sophomore at the University of Illinois, she thought about accessorizing water bottles. She started creating prototypes and went all in on social media, hiring a TikTok coach and posting three times a day. The business grew to 80,000 followers with millions of likes and views. Retailers then started reaching out to them.

Kevin O’Leary inquired about the sales. Charlotte replied, In 2022, we made $80,000. In 2023, $250,000. This year to date, we have $6 million in purchase orders.

Mark Cuban asked who handles manufacturing and distribution. Charlotte responded I’ve established relationships with factories over the past two and a half years. I recently hired my first employee and have a team of temporary warehouse workers to fulfill large orders.

Mark Cuban asked how much your products cost. Charlotte replied at Target, everything is priced at $11.99.

Kendra Scott asked how much profit you make on each item. Charlotte responded that we sell wholesale for $5 to $5.40, and it costs us between $1 and $2 to make each product.

Each Shark responded to Charlotte’s pitch:

Kevin O’Leary: He was impressed by the sales numbers and saw potential in the product. He offered $300,000 for 25% equity.

Daymond John: He admired Charlotte’s determination and the uniqueness of the product. He offered $300,000 for 20% equity and then went down to 17.5% equity.

Kendra Scott and Lori Griener appreciated Charlotte’s energy but felt the product wasn’t a fit for her. She decided not to invest.

Mark Cuban: He acknowledged Charlotte’s success but felt he wasn’t the perfect partner for her. He chose not to invest.

Charlotte didn’t accept any offer because she was not ready to give that much equity. She left the show without the deal.

What Went Wrong With CharCharms On Shark Tank?

While Charlotte secured a deal with Lori Greiner, not all Sharks were convinced. Some concerns included. Kevin O’Leary initially questioned how CharCharmsstood out in a market with many similar products. There was a concern that the popularity of accessorizing water bottles might be a passing trend. Managing rapid growth, manufacturing, and distribution with a small team posed significant challenges. These factors made some Sharks hesitant to invest.
