Yes, Wild Wonder gets a deal on the Shark Tank. All the sharks are scared to invest in the beverage industry since it’s the fastest-growing industry, and due to its expense, it is hard to break even, let alone be profitable. Mark, Lori, Barbara, and Kevin pulled out of the deal, however, all of them applauded Rosa and her products very much and loved them. However, due to the market’s vastness and lack of return on investment, they had to walk out of the deal.
Tony was the last shark left, so he decided to jump in and offer her his final offer with no wiggle room. Tony offered Rosa all the money, which was $500,000 for 9% equity. Rosa told him that since she had raised money with SAFE, she had to ensure that her evaluation didn’t get affected, hence she countered with 6% equity and 3% advisory shares, which is the exact percentage that Tony wanted. Hence, the deal was made. Keep reading our Wild Wonder update to see what happens next!

Wild Wonder Shark Tank Pitch
Rosa Li grew up in China, where her grandparents raised her. She moved to America when she was 12 years old, with no knowledge of the English language. In three years, she joined the debate team, and she was the only sophomore who was able to secure a finance internship at Goldman Sachs, in their New York headquarters.
After Li graduated, she worked in the financial world for some years and then moved toward the marketing field. After that, she launched Wild Wonder in 2020, and she had large POs going out to some of the major companies in under a year. However, Covid-19 happened and ruined her whole income stream. This put her company in difficult times, but that only taught her to persevere and within one year she was in 100 stores and the regional Whole Foods.
Rosa Li came into the Shark Tank asking for $500,000 for 5% of her business, Wild Wonder. Wild Wonder offers a variety of fruity sparkling water that boasts gut health and carries less sugar than the alternatives. She got the idea of the business from her grandmother, who believed in the philosophy that food is medicine.
She used to brew this kind of juice for her when she was a kid, hence when she moved into corporate life the stress-full jobs started to take a toll on her body, her gut health to be precise. She decided to seek help from her grandmother’s age-old recipes and started to brew them herself.
“A sparkling drink that reimagines the healing tonics of my heritage by combining the herbal wisdom with whimsical flavors,” said Rosa. The drinks that she produced have gut-supporting superfoods your body needs and 50% less sugar as compared to Kombucha. It’s one of the only drinks in the market that combines prebiotics and probiotics for better gut health. Rosa launched 4 major flavors that are Strawberry Passion, Mango Gold, Guava Rose, and Peach Ginger.
Rosa told the sharks that every can contains 5 grams of prebiotic fibers, providing a more holistic approach to gut health. She mentioned that the rest of the companies use a fermented acquired taste that doesn’t serve the average consumer.
Wild Wonder is trying to expand the market with no fermented taste and as a healthy alternative to sodas. The drinks contain only 35 calories per can and 90% less sugar than sodas. Everything in the can is organically certified, and no artificial flavors are used.
Kevin remarked about scaling and asked Rosa how many stores the product was in, she told him that in that year Wild Wonder had generated over $1.4 million and was set to make $2.5 million. Along with that she also told them about the new launches coming up in the next 30 days.
Kevin was curious about the profitability and sadly the business was not profitable at the time which left the sharks a bit disappointed. Since all the sharks loved the product so much, they might have invested in it if the evaluation and profitability were different.
Barbara asked about the margins on each one, Rosa informed them that the cost of production is $0.90 and it retails for $3.49, and within a year she was hopeful to bring the cost of production down to $0.70. Tony asked how much investment had gone into the business, Rosa told them that she raised $2.1 million the previous year, through a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity), which was a pre-money SAFE with a $6 million cap.
Kevin said that Rosa’s story was inspiring, and she was a great person; her product was fabulous, in fact, one of the best he has ever tried in the Shark Tank. Lori thought that the market was too big and scaling would be a problem. Mark applauded the product by saying that he hates Kombucha, but he could drink Wild Wonder all day long, not only that, he finished off the whole can of Strawberry Passion during the discussions, but he also said he would buy the product.
Mark didn’t find the deal to be lucrative enough at 5% equity. Barbara was reminded of her bad experience in the beverage market making her pull out of this deal. Tony was the only one left and since he knows about scaling businesses he was up to invest in the business. The deal worked out wonderfully as Rosa and Tony came to an accord of $500,000 for 6% equity and 3% advisory share.

Conclusion
Rosa Li has found an age-old solution to the new-age gut-related issues in her own heritage. When faced with gut-related issues she went back to her roots and found some exquisite recipes from her grandmother that boasted her gut health and nourished her soul. The market hasn’t seen a drink as remarkable as this so far that packs a punch of pre and pro-biotics that boasts gut health and keeps you refreshed with the zesty flavors.
The sharks loved the product however, due to her evaluation, scaling concerns, and the return on investment-related concerns the sharks weren’t as keen to invest. However, the guest shark Tony Xu who is all about scaling knows how to scale any business and decided to get on board, and as discussed earlier the results speak for themselves. We intend to keep an eye out for Wild Wonder and keep you updated.
